Wiley Model 4 knife mill. Model 3379-E10. Serial # 069701. Wiley mills are ideal for grinding animal and plant products (e.g. hair, leather, leaves, stalks and roots) but will also grind crystalline, fibrous, polymeric and amorphous materials. Mill has 4" reduced to 2.25" top infeed. The 2" bottom discharges feed a 1 pint glass jar. The mill chamber is 7.75" in diameter and 3" deep for 141 cu in. Front of chamber swings open for easy cleaning. Door has magnetic safety inlock to prevent operating while rotor is exposed. Rotor is belt driven by 1hp motor at 800 rpm. The four adjustable hard tool steel knives are bolted to a removable rotor. These knives work against six stationary knives bolted into the frame. Unit is capable of 50 to 1000 gram sample volumes. Provided with jar and beaker chutes, 1 mm screen, 1 pint (0.47 L) glass jar. The overall dimensions are 24" w x 24" l x 57" h with stand. Requires 115 vac electrical supply. Good condition (unit has been tested in shop, video is available.)
