I spoke with a chemical buyer today about his experience using CYP to source products. One of the products that he was looking for was potassium chloride. He noted three important factors in buying in the following order:
1. Location of the supplier
2. Cleanliness of the product – dirt to product ratio
Yes, price is a factor, but reliability of the supplier and their ability to serve him in his region were even more important. That’s why I encourage distributors to emphasize their multi-region coverage in their CYP Listing and why it’s even more important if presence in a particular Region is one of a company’s competitive strengths.
